Young Drivers, Driver Education, and the Change in Age of Licensure

Motor vehicle crashes are the number one cause of death for teens in the United States, yet our driving culture encourages an independence on the roadway that many young drivers may not be ready to express responsibly. In this session, we discussed how North Carolina has led the way with the Graduated Driver Licensing and what remains to be done as teens wait longer to drive.
